Individual Points I Want to Talk About

Hello, Melissa. So how’s Belize treating you? I know where you are you don’t get General Hospital, so I thought I’d keep you informed. Normally, I wouldn’t talk as much about what happened, and I number things. MONDAY First we see Johnny. He’s at the piano, and his playing has turned from melancholy to downright grim. Naturally Lulu is listening from the doorway. She wants to let him know that nobody will blame him for Michael’s shooting. Lulu said she “made sure of it”. And I’m St. Peter. Isn’t it amazing how some kid can just take care of things with just a sentence or two? Talk about arrogant …Kate has already talked to Lulu about this, but I’m sure Lulu paid no attention because she’s Lulu, and Lulu impacts the world. Cut to Jason and Elizabeth, with Jason practically in tears. You have to feel for him. He says that EVERYONE always thinks that he can protect everyone all the time, and he just can’t. It would be nice if people didn’t screw their lives over and think, “Oh, well, I can do whatever the hell I please because Jason will get me out of it.” And then after years and years of this, nobody remembers what it was like when they were expected to take care of themselves. Of course, if Jason didn’t spend so much time actually saving these people, they’d either be dead, or they’d learn to take care of themselves sometimes. Either way, he’d be off the hook. Jason tells Elizabeth that he TOLD Carly the night she arrived at his doorstep and begged him to pretend to be Michael’s father – he TOLD her that Michael would not be safe, BUT SHE DIDN’T CARE. Of course she didn’t care. She needed an IMMEDIATE solution to her problem, and Jason was that solution. Short term versus long term. And then we cut to Sonny, who’s about to commit suicide at the warehouse. Sure he is. But Robin shows up. Robin says Alexis told her to check on Sonny? Huh? Speaking of Alexis, she could use someone to check up on her. Who in the hell does she think she is wailing like a banshee at Diane and Max, treating them like they were 16 and were caught behind the barn. If Max and Diane want to fool around, it’s their business, and I don’t give a damn if it takes place in Sonny’s living room or not. And nothing like calling Max a thug to his face, and telling Diane she has no business having anything to do with a thug. If I were Max, I’d ask Alexis how much she’d care if I were a thug if I were the only person standing between her daughter and a killer. You wouldn’t hear her saying, “Oh, you can’t save my daughter; you’re a thug.” Elizabeth wants them to take the kids and go away. Of course Jason says he can’t leave Michael, and that I can understand. But if Michael weren’t in the hospital, Jason would just find another excuse for not leaving – because the truth is that he will NEVER leave the one person he really loves above anyone else, and that’s Carly. God help Elizabeth when she finally figures that out. Elizabeth says, “Just so I’m clear on this: you’re choosing a life of violence over me and the boys.” No, Elizabeth, he’s choosing a life of being around Carly over you and the boys. Claudia comes to the hospital to give Michael a rosary that belonged to Claudia’s mother. If you believe the writing, she’s devastated over what happened to Michael, and came to pay her respects. Of course Carly treats her like absolute garbage, accusing her of being there just so she can score points with Sonny. If you say so, Carly. Anyway, then Jax shows up. He has no idea who Claudia is. When Carly tells him, no matter what Claudia says, Jax has decided that Johnny gave the order that caused all of this mess. He throws Claudia out. Evidently, this is the first time anyone has seen Jax since Michael was shot. It’s been days. ONLY RICH PEOPLE CLAIM THAT THEY’RE STRANDED when sitting in their private jet on the runway. GET A CAR, JAX. You don’t even have to drive to New York. JUST DRIVE TO THE NEAREST AIRPORT AND RENT A PLANE IF YOU HAVE TO. You know what the other thing is that’s interesting? Carly, you’re sitting by your son’s side hour after hour, day after day. And what do you choose to wear? Your little black dress? Carly, do you own some jeans and a T-shirt? Do you think some fashion magazine is going to do a spread on rich people with relatives in the hospital, so you better look your best? Get serious. Sonny is yakking with Robin, and he makes a very salient point: rarely does he ever get hurt. It’s always the people around him to take the pipe. Sonny says that Carly was right and he doesn’t deserve to be a father. Robin says, “CARLY IS FULL OF CRAP”. Hurrah! So here we go again. Once again Lulu tries to “help” Johnny, even though he didn’t ask for it and it’s the last thing he needs, and when he tells her so, she gets all pissed and leaves. This is about the fourth or fifth time AT LEAST that she’s decided she needs to help Johnny whether he wants it or not. Lulu, once and for all, just say goodbye and mean it. And now of course that ridiculous story of Carly’s is gaining a life of its own. I’m talking about Carly telling everyone that Sonny COULD have jumped in front of Michael, but he took care of Kate instead, the implication being that he cared more about his bed bunny than he did about his own child. COULD WE STOP THIS CRAP ALREADY? Sonny was nowhere near Michael; there was no way he couldn’t have gotten to him. But more importantly, there WAS NO REASON for Sonny to go after Michael, because he saw the rifle’s scope reflected in the lights, and the rifle was aimed AT SONNY, not at Michael. Sonny HAD to help Kate (if anyone) because she was the one standing right beside him. There was absolutely NO WAY TO KNOW that the bullet was going to ricochet, much less ricochet into Michael’s brain. And now let’s take a moment to discuss all this stuff about no bodyguards. MAYBE the bodyguards might have found Devlin hiding in wait for Sonny, but you and I know that’s a lot of CRAP. Devlin was there early, and knowing how stupid these bodyguards are, it’s unlikely they would have found anything. Even if there had been 20 bodyguards around, UNLESS ONE OR MORE OF THEM WERE STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF MICHAEL IN THE LINE OF THE RICOCHET, they would have been of no help at all. So let’s get off this totally illogical kick and move on. Robin is trying to make Sonny understand Michael needs him, no matter what Carly thinks. But Sonny wants to wallow in self pity. He tells Robin that he failed Michael because he didn’t put him first. So how is wallowing in self pity and not going to Michael any different from what Sonny is criticizing himself for? It sure doesn’t look like Sonny is putting Michael first now either, does it? I love Max. He’s finally had enough of Alexis. He basically asks her when she became the relationship expert. After all, she married Ric Lansing. Diane and Max get a good laugh out of that one. Diane says to Alexis, “And Ric Lansing is only ONE of the reprehensible men you’ve slept with.” Etc., etc. The end result is that Alexis tucks her tail between her legs and slithers out. Diane then decides she should leave. She picks up all her unmentionables and is walking out when Max finds her hot red lace panties. When she comes to him to get them, he lays a terrific kiss on her, which makes her swoon. It’s very sweet that he thanks her, saying he’s never had anyone stand up for him like she did with Alexis. Carly is continuing to lie to herself about Michael’s condition, and now she’s lying to Jax. He asks how Michael is. Carly says the doctors removed the bullet, he’s getting better, and he even squeezed her hand earlier. She tell him nothing about what the doctors said about Michael never waking up again. Jason shows up just as Carly is lying to Jax. Jason tells her Jax has a right to know, but she refuses to tell him anything because “Michael is getting better”. You can imagine how Jax is going to feel when he finds out the truth. Lulu goes to Kelly’s thinking she’s subbing for someone. But Logan has taken over Kelly’s and has prepared a romantic candle-lit dinner. These things always confuse me. This isn’t the first or second or third or fourth time that someone has taken over Kelly’s for the evening for something like this. Clearly the place isn’t usually closed, or Lulu would have known that she wasn’t going to be subbing for someone. So how does Logan get the money to buy out Kelly’s for the evening? Oh, don’t tell me Mike is such a nice guy, and he’s making so much money, that he can afford to close down Kelly’s for an entire evening just so Logan and Lulu can get it on. But I digress. All we get is Lulu walking in and Logan explaining that he wanted to surprise her. Jax isn’t stupid; he goes over to Elizabeth’s to find out what really happened with Michael. Jax says he tried reaching Patrick and/or Robin, but they didn’t answer. Elizabeth isn’t exactly forthright with Jax; she says he ought to talk to Carly. Btu clearly Carly can’t be trusted to tell Jax the truth. COME ONE, ELIZABETH, either tell Jax the truth, or have the guts to tell him you can’t tell him anything, which stinks under the circumstances. If I were Jax, I’d get Carly to sign a document immediately that allows me access to Michael’s medical information – either that, or I would not come around, and I’d move out of the house. If I were Jax, I’d be damned if Sonny can be told what’s going on but not me. EVEN MORE IRRITATING, I’d be damned if JASON is being kept informed, and yet Carly won’t tell me? NOT A CHANCE. TUESDAY Hello, Melissa. Glad to know you’re having a good time. Keeping you informed … Lulu is really lousy to Logan. He went to all this trouble for her, and she can’t even muster a smile. All she wants to know is what is going on. That’s enough of a tip-off in itself. She basically tells him that she stayed with him in the hospital not because she really cared about him, but because she felt guilty almost killing him. She tells him she no longer thinks about him in a girlfriend/boyfriend way. Thanks, Lulu. And if Logan hadn’t gone to all the trouble he did, just when were you going to inform him that you were dumping him? We’re back with Jax and Elizabeth. Jax tells Liz that it’s clear to him by just looking at Carly that she keeping stuff from him. Will Elizabeth tell him anything? Finally, Elizabeth tells Jax that she overheard Patrick tell Robin that Michael’s coma is permanent. “You mean he’s never going to wake up?” asks Jax. YEP JAX, that’s what permanent means. So there’s Carly yelling at Sonny about how he should get out and how he’s not Michael’s father anymore, and of course she’s doing it in the hospital room in front of Michael. Jason suggests they take their problems outside. Carly, still in her cute little basic black dress, tells Sonny, “When you left Michael standing there in the line of fire, when you left him vulnerable and alone so you could protect Kate, you made a choice, Sonny, and you lost all rights to call yourself his father.” SEE WHAT’S HAPPENED TO THIS STORY BECAUSE IT WASN’T STRAIGHTENED OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE? Carly demands he leave; Sonny says Carly can be as mad at him as she wants, but he’s not leaving Michael. God Logan makes me almost sick. Even though she’s telling him to blow, he won’t accept it. He decides he doesn’t care if she goes back and forth. He has absolutely no pride. But at the end, he finds something akin to self-respect, and tells Lulu that if she’s blowing him off for Johnny she needs to “woman up” and be honest about it. Then Johnny and Claudia have one of those conversations about Lulu that you cannot believe anybody in their right mind actually wrote. He says, “Sometimes you look at the fire, and you know how bad it’s going to hurt when you get burned, but you can’t help but stick you hand in anyway.” And she says, “If you want Lulu in your life, keep her. Just don’t fall in love, ‘cause if you do, you might as well eat your gun.” Well, okay – maybe I liked Claudia’s line. So Logan and Lulu are over and done. Put a fork in him. I wonder if he’s long for GH considering he has no one to hook up with. He would have been terrific as Johnny’s right-hand man, but that sure looks unlikely. I remember when Logan and Coop first came on the show. I thought, “WOW, GH has some hot guys who will only get better with time.” And then they set up this plot with Coop as Sonny’s stool pigeon, and nothing ever came of it. Next thing we know, we’re supposed to believe he’s some serial killer, and then he’s dead? What a waste. And now it looks like Logan will be joining him. Maybe Logan can become a tennis instructor and hang out with Monica. LOGAN NEEDS TO START HANGING OUT WITH CLAUDIA. NOW WOULDN’T THAT MAKE A GOOD DOUBLE DATE? Claudia is looking for the same kind of man we all are: “I could only love someone that I could trust unconditionally, somebody who would stand by me no matter what, somebody who’s keep my secrets no matter how much it went against their grain, and someone who would never leave me. Such a man doesn’t exist, so I can wipe love off the agenda.” It’s amazing how Jax is a FAR BETTER PARENT than either Sonny or Carly. His concern is always for Michael first; theirs is for their own guilt. Claudia confronts Jason on the docks. Evidently, Jason was going 90 on his motorcycle down some alley, and it almost killed Claudia. Of course Claudia was going 50 the wrong way down the alley, so I guess neither one is about to call the cops. Jax goes to spend some time with Michael. Carly comes to the room, and the way Jax is talking, it sounds to her like he’s saying goodbye to Michael. Clearly, she is not happy with this. So Robin and Patrick’s on-again off-again is on again. Claudia tells Jason she thinks people in their line of work shouldn’t procreate. It’s not fair to the kids, making them grow up in that environment. They grow up with bodyguards and guns and bulletproof glass. And even if they manage to adjust, or live long enough to make their own choices, they usually become nothing but gangsters themselves. Carly says that Michael is coming back, and Jax decides not to force her to confront the truth. He tells her if she believes Michael is coming back, then he does, too. WEDNESDAY Hello, Melissa. The weather is great here. Lots of changes in the yards. Just keeping you informed … So I had forgotten about Nadine and Nikolas. She insisted on spending the night on the couch, even though there were 28 empty bedrooms. Okay … One of the best lines of the year comes from Nadine, as she’s leaving to go to work. Nikolas asks her how she can think of going to work since she’s clearly limping and in pain. She tells him she’ll walk it off. Huh? If she could just walk it off, why in the world she have slept on somebody’s couch? But I digress. Here comes the great line. Nik asks Nadine to stay for breakfast; she says she has to go to work. As she’s leaving she reminds him to remind Albert that Emily likes extra syrup on her French toast. It was priceless. My god, Ric is back. He tells Anthony that the biggest obstacle to getting him OUT of there is that his kids want him IN there, so they can use his empire to do whatever the hell they please. Jax volunteers to stay with Michael so Carly can go home and get some rest. Of course, she refuses to go. You know, I wonder if Morgan were asked to draw a picture of her, if he could remember enough of her to do it. Spinelli comes home to a distraught (translated as “far too quiet”) Jason, who tells Spinelli they are going to find out who shot Michael. CLAUDIA, I’m telling you … kill Ian NOW. I laid out a whole story line last week that you cold use that would work perfectly. Get rid of Ian before he says something that you’ll regret. If he comes to you for protection from Jason, kill him the instant he’s in the door. I DON’T BELIEVE THIS ONE. Elizabeth is late for work – again. She comes prancing in not saying she’s sorry or anything, just like a queen. Epiphany, HER BOSS, says to her, “Nice of you to join us Nurse Webber. Are you going to be here for the rest of the day, or will you be running off to attend to yet another crisis?” AND ELIZABETH HAS THE NERVE TO SNOTTILY SAY, “Excuse me for having a life”. Leyla leaves the desk area, and Elizabeth says to Epiphany, “YOU ASKED FOR IT.” WHAT???????????????? Do you know what would happen to you if you spoke like that to your boss? EXCUSE ME? Elizabeth always has some crisis going on: if it isn’t kidnapping, it’s hit and run or divorce or a hundred other things. And as much as Epiphany drives me crazy, she always seems to be covering for Elizabeth. How dare she get uppity? I’d put her on report as fast as her head could spin, and I’d let her know that her days of being covered for are dead and gone, thanks to her attitude. But of course Epiphany just make excuses for her, as usual. The Haunted Star opens again tonight. Instead of going with Sam (where in the hell is Sam, anyway? There was no excuse make for her absence), Lucky comes by the hospital and invites Elizabeth. He’s going as security, and he says he’d like her there for medical backup, in case everything gets to be too much for his dad. She accepts. SOME BIG-TIME MAFIOSOS, Claudia and Johnny. They spend most of their time wailing over Michael, and taking turns saying they’re going to go to Sonny and confess. CONFESS? Is this what being a gangster has become? If this is the real Johnny Zacchara, he better get out and get out fast. |
WEDNESDAY (continued) You gotta love Luke. He makes it clear to Lulu that she has no business hanging out with Johnny, but he also makes it clear HE has no problem taking Johnny’s money, no matter if he was involved in Michael’s shooting or not. Business IS business, after all. Jax tells Carly he doesn’t want her clinging to false hope. You know, to a mother with a child whose brain is scrambled eggs and who is never expected to wake up, clinging to false hope is all she has left. Trying to take that away from her is an absolute, total, lose-lose situation. If he dies, there’s a part of her that will always blame you, as though if you’d really believed in Michael (and not abandoned him), he would have made it. And she’ll never forgive you. Spinelli calls Claudia Vixonella. Claudia comes to the penthouse, ostensibly to talk with Jason about who shot Michael. Spinelli, if Jason didn’t want Claudia there he’s a big boy who can speak for himself. In other words, SHUT UP. Nadine is going to the Haunted Star tonight. She’s NEVER been to a casino. Huh?
We’re back to Claudia and Jason, with Jason really dumb stuff, like … “Sonny does what he wants”. Right Jason; there’s nothing you can say or do that ever affects Sonny. And then … “Sonny’s not going to act without proof.” ARE YOU JOKING? Jason tells Claudia he’s going to find out what shot Michael and then there’s nothing on earth that’s going to stop them. I’m telling you, Claudia, kill Ian while you still have the chance to do it and get away with it. Carly has changed! Now she’s in black pants and a sleeveless black top. Looks like she’s in mourning already. You gotta love Jerry and Alexis. When they talk they’re NEVER talking about what you think they’re supposed to be talking about. They both love the banter. Please continue the petty bickering. Elizabeth looks wonderful. She’s in a purple dress. Hmmmm Sam has shown up. How awkward. Lucky makes all kinds of excuses as to why he asked Elizabeth instead of Sam. Sam looks beautiful. She’s wearing this champagne color that looks great with her hair. Everyone is in a tuxedo. YUM. Jerry is visibly irritated when Ian shows up at the boat. Carly gets pissed at Jax because she doesn’t want to think about Morgan right now, and Jax is letting her know in no uncertain terms that Morgan needs his mother. He knows something is wrong, but he doesn’t know what, and he hasn’t seen either of his parents in days, and he’s getting scared. She doesn’t want to hear any of it. She doesn’t know what to tell him. Jax suggests she do what she rarely thinks of – tell the truth. Lulu is waiting at the docks for Nikolas. He’s supposed to go with her, but he’s already at the Haunted Star, so what’s that all about. How convenient that Johnny shows up and volunteers to take her. THEN LOGAN SHOWS UP. And you know what REALLY pisses me off? NEITHER ONE IS WEARING A TUX. I’ve been drooling all this time just waiting to see Johnny in a tux. SHIT! Claudia shows up looking gorgeous. Ric and LEYLA (?) strike up a conversation. PLEASE GOD, NO. Spinelli and Jason find a security tape that shows a car with doctor’s stickers was driving around the wharf around the time Michael was shot. THURSDAY Hi Melissa. Can’t wait to see the pictures. When you’re making a ton of money you too can live in Belize. Just keeping you informed … Ian has shown up at the Haunted Star. Claudia, don’t expect Jerry to keep Ian on a leash. Kill him now, and get it over with. It also bothers me that Jerry and Claudia are actually allowing Ian to have the upper hand here. You know, guys, just because Ian says that killing him will raise more questions than it answers, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be willing to take the risk. You risk far more should he shoot his mouth off. So Sonny shows up at the Haunted Star. He’s not in a tux; he’s wearing a suit with a white tie. His kid is in the hospital, probably dying, and he’s gambling? Meanwhile, Jason is breathing heavily over Spinelli’s shoulder about reading the license plate off the car that was around when Michael was shot. Jax is still trying to get Carly to go home and see Morgan. She uses every excuse in the book not to go, but in the end she relents. Ric confronts Sonny wanting to know why he’s at the Haunted Star, what he’s trying to prove. Sonny says he’s there to gamble, but it’s clear he’s there in some weird attempt to put himself in the line of fire to draw out the killer. Now why in the world the shooter would do something in a totally crowded Haunted Star is beyond me. Even Ian wouldn’t be that dumb. And let’s not forget Sonny is there with a bunch of bodyguards. It’s a good thing probably no on there knows that Sonny went to the warehouse without guards, or they might wonder why he didn’t take guard when he was out with his son, but he does bring bodyguards when he’s out by himself. Then Kate and Maxie arrive. I guess they’re joined at the hip these days. After all, Kate might need someone to hold the hankie when she sneezes. Kate is gorgeous in this magenta rose thing. Maxie is in black. Her hairstyle is a little weird, but it doesn’t matter because she looks terrific. Diane arrives late. She looks ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. She hooks up with Max. Johnny starts talking with Maxie, and STAKES her. I hope she makes a fortune. You can imagine how Lulu is going to feel, even though she told Johnny to take a hike. Jax, you should have NEVER told Carly you talked to Elizabeth about Michael. She goes off into a rage about how Elizabeth doesn’t know what she’s talking about. SEE? Now things get even worse. Spinelli is talking to an obviously distraught Jason. FINALLY Jason tells him what’s really bothering him: he doesn’t want to believe that Sonny protected Kate INSTEAD of Michael. See what’s happened? Now this stupid story has even got Jason believing Sonny could have saved Michael, and that’s bullshit. But Jason tells Spinelli that Sonny made a terrible mistake. Robin’s due date is October 21st. They find out the car was rented to Ian Devlin. Then Jason goes into high gear, demanding that Spinelli find out everything about this guy. Sonny is back at the Haunted Start blowing tons of money: $10,000 on 12, $30,000 on 12, then even more. What the hell he’s doing, I have no idea. So Jax doesn’t listen to me, and goes back to trying to convince Carly not to have false hope. Of course she lashes out at him, blaming him for everything. “Is it easy for you to give up on Michael because he’s only your stepson?” “You want the truth? You left me for no good reason after I practically begged you to stay. I had to deal with surgery, Kate, Sonny, and my son in a hospital bed by myself.” “Then you go behind my back to Elizabeth of all people.” You wanna talk about bullshit? Carly has left Jax out of the loop on practically everything she does with those two boys. When it comes to them, or anything else for that fact, Jax is always the last to know. Carly tells Jason, and she tells Sonny, buy she never bothers with Jax. Now everything is his fault because he went to Houston on business? She didn’t want him to go, that’s right; but not because she had any premonition about Michael. She was jealous of Kate. And he went to Elizabeth out of total exasperation because he KNEW Carly was lying to him, keeping him out of the loop once again. And as far as the stepson thing goes, a real low blow, Jax has been a terrific father to those two boys; many times doing a far better job than Carly or Sonny. She’s going to drive him away yet, and then she’ll be the first to wonder what happened. Diane and Max are smooching away in the corner. Jerry and Alexis are smooching under the roulette table. Lulu and Johnny are smooching on the docks. Lulu told Johnny to stay away from “that skank Maxie”. As soon as Johnny said he liked her, then Lulu’s all over Johnny. They’ve taken the tube out of Michael’s mouth. Sonny admits to Michael that he’s set himself up as a target because he’s convinced the shooter will try again. But his idea of a target is running around in public places gambling and drinking? FRIDAY Hello Lissa. The pictures are terrific. Just keeping you informed … Alexis shows up at Johnny’s saying she has some questions to ask them about Michael’s shooting. Jax shows up at the hospital, and Carly tells him that if she doesn’t believe Michael is going to wake up that she doesn’t want him there. You might as well just fake it, Jax. You don’t think for one minute he’s going to wake up, but what good does it do you to let Carly believe that. Nadine is walking around with a smile on her face. She had a good time at the Haunted Star, but of course, as usual, she’s making something out of nothing. And I don’t mean her relationship with Nikolas. Nadine has determined that something changed last night, and that Nikolas is now ready to get on with his life. HUH? What part of yesterday’s episode did I miss. I must have missed a lot, because that’s nonsense. I especially find it amusing since right at the time she telling Leyla Nikolas is ready to move on, Nikolas is in the hospital badgering Ian about the fact that he’s running out of pills I’m confused. I thought the $10 million bought him enough pills for one year. Ian tells him he’ll have more by the end of the day. Excuse me? It sounds like all he has to do is go back to the store for another chop or something. But I do have to give Ian credit. It’s not like he’s trying to con Nikolas into believing that spending lots of money will allow him to go on like this forever. Ian makes it crystal clear to Nik that these pills have bought him maybe another month, and if he doesn’t have the surgery he will croak. Must be nice to have so much money that you can blow $10 million on some pills. So according to Spinelli, Patrick was first in his class (naturally), and Ian was second (naturally). Then, instead of setting up some lucrative practice in Beverly Hills (remember, Ian graduates as a plastic surgeon), Ian promptly disappears. Then Jason decides that Spinelli isn’t working fast enough, so he TAKES AWAY HIS ORANGE SODA? What? Spinelli is attempting to point out that could be other reasons for Devlin driving down that street the night Michael was shot, or his disappearance after he graduated. So that ticks Jason off, since he’s already made up his mind. And why? Because Jason said when he met the guy, he was arrogant. Okay … Sonny goes to see Anthony, and this is why you gotta love Anthony. There’s no doubt in Sonny’s mind that Anthony could have ordered the hit on him, bedridden or not. Anthony looks at him and says point blank, “If you honestly think I had your son shot, you should kill me right now.” And here’s another great line. Nik says to Ian, “You said this drug was experimental. Maybe I have more time than you think.” And Ian says, “This party in your brain is going to end.” So it’s Kate’s first day in the new offices, and OF COURSE Lulu is late again. And of course she hasn’t brought any coffee. Maxie explains to Lulu that every day Maxie will hand her a list of specific responsibilities for that day. Of course Lulu is just laughing at her and treating her like crap. The fact that it IS the job she signed up for is irrelevant, I guess. Naturally; it’s Lulu. What was I thinking? Then Claudia tells Alexis that she’s got just as much reason to want Sonny dead as Claudia or Johnny. Then she mentions Kristina. Sounds like Claudia just figures that anyone married to Sonny, by definition, is going to want him dead at some point. Well, now that you mention it … Anyway, Alexis is not happy when Claudia asks her what her alibi is for the time Michael was shot. Johnny is clearly uncomfortable. So Sonny goes to visit Anthony. Why? Certainly it can’t be to find out of Anthony Ordered the hit that injured Michael. Anthony is going to be Anthony, and he’s going to tell you nothing. Maybe Sonny thought he would be able to learn something just from Anthony’s demeanor, or non-verbal cues. That didn’t happen either. Maybe he wanted to issue a challenge to Anthony: “Kill me if you can”. But Anthony is no fool; he knows it’s all bravado. He knows exactly what Sonny is doing and why. You know, it’s too bad Anthony is such a serious bad-ass, because he’s really smart, and if they wrote him with his head on straight, it would be terrific to see the sparks fly between him and Sonny. Unfortunately, there are some people you just NEVER turn your back on. Kate has decided that the title for some article in the magazine isn’t right. She gives it to Maxie and tells her to take a stab at fixing the title. Lulu has the nerve to grab it out of her hands and say that SHE should be the one reading it. All Lulu and Maxie are doing is sniping at each other. Lulu is the one starting it mostly, because Johnny was paying attention to Maxie at the Haunted Star, and of course Lulu couldn’t have that, even though she says they’re through. WELL WELL … Trevor is back. Ric gets Anthony a hearing with a transfer to Shady Brook, of all places. Amusingly, Ric argues to the court that Anthony is hardly a flight risk since he’s paralyzed from the neck down – AT WHICH POINT ANTHONY SITS UP. He’s anything BUT paralyzed. It scared the hell out of me. He’s okay from the waist up, but he can’t move his legs yet. Ric is concerned that as soon as Claudia and Johnny find out about the hearing, they’ll try to block it. Anthony tells him it’s Ric’s responsibility to make sure that doesn’t happen. Johnny has figured out Devlin shot Michael. Max tells Sonny he slept with Diane. And then compounds the problem by babbling about it. He tells sonny please not to TELL CARLY? What? Sonny has a great line: “Max, Michael is lying in a hospital bed with a gunshot wound to the head. You think Carly or I really care that you slept with Diane? Diane and Alexis have this ridiculous slapstick fight at Kate’s office over sample shoes that Kate says they can have. Isn’t it convenient that the shoes are one-size-fits-all? Spinelli finds out that Ian’s bank account has been padded nicely by Nikolas. Oooops. Ian is taking a shower at the hospital, and Jerry comes to pay him a visit. The guy who’s always working for Trevor is taking Anthony to Shady Brook in a wheelchair at night. If you were Anthony, would you trust this guy to take you anywhere? Anthony tells the guy it’s time to put Claudia in her place. Considering this is the same guy who told Trevor he’d kill Claudia as a freebee just for the opportunity, you know this guy is loyal to whoever is in power at the moment. MY GOODNESS BUT IT’S BEEN A BUSY DAY AT THE ZACCHARA HOUSEHOLD. Alexis, Trevor, Ian, and now Ric. Ric tells Claudia and Johnny that if everything goes well, by next week their father will be free. The look on their faces is priceless. 10% shock, 20% nausea, 30% fear , and 40% horror. SO GET THIS. Sonny’s making himself a supposed target in the warehouse when Kate comes in. Why is she there? She’s there because MILO CALLED HER, concerned about Sonny. MILO CALLED HER? I don’t know about you, but I find it strange that Max’s little brother hate the nerve to go against Sonny (you KNOW Sonny would have never approved such a thing) and call Kate Howard, when Max didn’t dare violate Sonny’s orders. I wonder what Sonny is going to do with Milo. If he doesn’t do anything, then Max was an IDIOT for not going to the warehouse. Michael opens his eyes. It’s almost creepy. It’s like the eyes are open, but there’s nothing behind them.
