Individual Points I Want to Talk About

MONDAY

01. Good for you, Claudia. I’m absolutely shocked that you didn’t just cave in, like the writers have every other woman do. Talk about balls. Mr. Craig, who held and shot how many people again at the MetroCourt, is threatening Claudia with DEAD Dr. Devlin? Like I said last week, if I were Jerry, I’d be careful about how much bullshit I was willing to perpetrate when my success ids dependent on people’s BELIEF in what I say. Could we please get serious? Would you believe anything Jerry said, especially when it was about someone like Claudia? The first thing Alexis would think is that Jerry’s got something to hide and wants Claudia out of the way. Jerry’s got just as much to lose as Claudia; maybe more, because regardless of her daddy, Claudia’s got clout.

02. Good for you, Lulu. Most of the time someone would threaten you or someone you cared about, and the writers would have you cowering in fear and afraid to tell anyone what Anthony wanted.

03. See, this is what really pisses me off about Luke. He thinks he’s so cool, or something, that he can do illegal stuff HALF ASS. I don’t care if he wants to launder money. But his partner is Johnny, which means his partner is Anthony, and if there’s anything everyone seems to know about Anthony is that he does his homework, and knows who to threaten, and with what. He knows Luke is laundering money, and it probably took no time at all to make sure he had the proof, without the Zaccharas being involved. So Lulu is stuck with Johnny because daddy doesn’t know how to keep two sets of books? As long as we’re on the subject, Lulu is using all of this as an excuse because she really wants to be with Johnny, and now she’s GOT to be.

04. Jerry kissing Claudia? Naturally Alexis shows up. Well, why not, since Jerry and Claudia have to have their “encounter” on the docks, of all places.

05. Good for you, Kate. Normally, the writers would have you do everything possible, everything stupid, to avoid telling Sonny you did indeed give Devlin a million dollars to leave town. Your explanation was clear and to the point.

06. SUBJECT TO THE DISCRETION OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY? What are you talking about? First of all, since when is it illegal to have friends over for a poker game? What’s the difference if Luke says he lives at the Haunted Star and plays poker there, what’s the difference from that and some guy inviting his buddies from work over to where he lives for a poker fame? Secondly, what is this discretion crap? Don’t feed me anything about how Alexis can just arbitrarily decide to prosecute or not.

07. That’s right, Jason. Michael laying in a room looking like a rutabaga shouldn’t be his life. WHO DOES HAVE A LIFE THAT IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE? You should be with Elizabeth and your child. Is your life the way it should be? People are dying in Iraq every day. Is their life the way it should be? Children starve to death every minute of every day. I don’t see you doing anything about it. Is their life the way it should be?

08. So now we come to a really big question: Whose call was it to make? Was it your call, Sonny? Why? Was it Jason’s call? Or Carly’s? I suppose if it was anybody’s call it would be Michael’s.

09. So, see how easy it is? Nikolas starts pushing people around and beating them up, then he gets rewarded by spending lots of time with the woman he keeps hallucinating thanks to Dr. Devlin, and he seeks and gets “forgiveness” just in time, the tumor is removed, and all is well. On top of it all, he gets a new girlfriend.

10. Jerry, is you don’t want to jeopardize your relationship with Alexis, what the hell are you doing kissing Claudia on the docks? You should realize by now that Alexis has a stick up her ass and will not take kindly to any shenanigans like that. She’s just LOOKING for a reason to dump you, and you’ve given it to her. Besides, why in the world you are carrying on a conversation IN PUBLIC about something that can land you in jail for a very long time is beyond me

11. So then Jerry tries to turn the whole thing around and blame Alexis? If you weren’t making me do this little dance I wouldn’t have given in to my impulse to kiss Claudia? You’re jealous, and it looks good on you because it brings pink to your cheeks? WHAT?

12. So now we’re back to the betrayal thing. That’s always where Sonny goes. Late betrayed me? Betrayed you? Oh, I see. Kate kept you from killing Devlin rather than turning him over to the police. Or she kept Devlin from killing you. So she betrayed you? And Kate, you gotta understand. I remember when you first came to Port Charles. Sonny gives the “betrayal speech” to all his bed bunnies, so he’s got it down pat. You should have known he would consider this a betrayal. And frankly, you should have had more faith in Sonny and Jason’s ability to kill with impunity. You saw how easy it was to get Jason out of murder charges, AND HE DID IT. If I had been you, I would have gone to Jason first; at least you could count on him being somewhat level-headed about how to go about taking care of Devlin without any repercussions.

TUESDAY

13. Sonny, everyone in the world can tell you you’re doing the right thing with Michael, and still you say you feel like you’re turning your back on your son. That’s because in a sense you are. Remember that old worn-out phrase “out of sight, out of mind”? As long as Michael is at GH, you’re going to be there. As soon as he gets moved to Manhattan (or wherever) you won’t be able to see him as much, and after a while you’re will hardly go there at all. After all, he’s a vegetable and can’t acknowledge who you are anyway. Then one day someone will ask you when the last time you saw Michael, and you won’t be able to remember.

14. Sam looks absolutely beautiful today.

15. So now we’ve once again got Spinelli acting like an idiot. It’s a little difficult to act cool when you’ve got to drink orange soda. I love Coleman. If you want to learn how to be something other than a wimp, Coleman’s your man.

16. So there’s Luke, telling his son that he’s going to say or do anything to get Tracy back, even if it’s a pile of lies he’s feeding her. Then he shows up at Tracy’s and tells her whatever he needs to get her back, so he can start the process all over again.

17. Is your anti-wrinkle cream working deep enough?

18. So now Lulu can be back in the position of freely admitting she wants Johnny. Now she’s even making excuses for him about it was really okay for him to try and kill Sonny (which would have happened had the bullet not been misdirected) because Sonny was trying to push Johnny’s buttons. Excuse me? Since when does button-pushing make murder acceptable, Lulu? I’m sure Kate would feel the same way if Devlin killed Sonny; well, after all, Sonny was walking around just asking for it, so why wouldn’t it be okay to give it to him?

19. You can see how happy Logan is to see Lulu with her tongue down Johnny’s throat.

20. So Kate goes all the way to where Michael is going to stay, and there’s Sonny telling the director that he saved Kate instead of Michael. Sonny said he doesn’t have anyone to talk to. Naturally Kate hears all of this and leaves without Sonny ever knowing she was there. Of course, Sonny is once again doing it to himself by saying it’s only fair that he not have anyone to talk to since Michael doesn’t have anyone to talk to either.

WEDNESDAY

21. WELL, WELL, A MYSTERY. Something is going on with medications at the hospital. Let’s see who the writers gets involved in this story. You can bet it will be the wrong people doing the wrong stuff. And they’ll all be stupid.

23. Hey, Elizabeth, you’re NOT SURE if you screwed up a patient’s medication? GET SURE, regardless of what’s happening with Michael. You said Epiphany would never do something like that. People should say the same thing about you. If you can’t be SURE of what you’re doing, then why are you at work at all?

24. You knew the person Spinelli would find would be a prostitute.

25. How nice, Nikolas. Dr. Devlin was corrupt? As I recall, You BEGGED Devlin for pills that would allow you to see Emily. Devlin was ABSOLUTELY HONEST with you about the fact that the drug was illegal in the USA; he was also totally honest with you about what you’d experience, and for how long. Yes, the writers had him look like a real jerk when he had other stuff to sell you, but I don’t ever recall you saying that you didn’t have the $10 million to spend, or that it was too much, or anything else. You wanted to see Emily, and you were willing to pay for the opportunity. And when you found yourself a new girlfriend, and got tired of the whole Emily appearing and disappearing at will thing, then suddenly Devlin became a corrupt asshole. How convenient.

26. Be careful, Claudia. If Anthony asked me what he could do for me, I would NOT answer that question. Maybe the only thing I’d ask for is my daddy’s love and trust; how I could be of service to my daddy.

27. Carly, I understand about your great revelation, but how are you going to keep Morgan safe? We won’t even go into the getting-hit-by-a-bus thing. Let’s just talk about keeping Morgan safe from any harm because of Sonny or his business. What do you think Jason is fight so hard for? JASON IS FIGHTING TO KEEP JAKE ANONYMOUS. Supposedly, as long as people think Jake belongs to Lucky, a cop, instead of Jason, a hit man for a mob boss, then supposedly Jake is safer. I refuse to say he’s safe, because having a cop for a father can get you into a lot of trouble, too. My point is that Morgan would be safer IF PEOPLE DIDN’T KNOW MORGAN WAS SONNY’S. Once people trying to get back at Sonny know he’s got a kid, then that kid is in potential danger. And since everyone knows Morgan is Sonny’s while keeping Sonny away from Morgan may help somewhat, it won’t solve the problem. Also, keep in mind that the person who was trying to kill Sonny wasn’t one of the five families, wasn’t someone that Sonny had “wronged” a long time ago who was back for revenge. Devlin was just some guy who missed and hit the wrong person.

28. So now Claudia’s mother brought her demise on herself by supposedly caring more about the business than she did about either Anthony or Claudia. Anthony can see Claudia going down that same path. What path exactly is that, Anthony? There was nothing wrong with her taking an interest in the business, or was there? What kind of a threat did she become to you, Anthony, that made you ship her, and Claudia off? And when Anthony tells you he wants you to stay with him, you can bet it’s because he goes by the old adage that you keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

29. So ever since Michael got shot, not a day has gone by that Carly has done anything but cry. That must really be difficult after a while.

30. Anthony wants a docile, obedient daughter, and he wants Ric to make that happen. Claudia wants a dead father, and she wants Jason to make that happen. Ric wants to get rid of Trevor, and he wants Claudia to join forces with him to make that happen. Anthony wants Lulu to bed Johnny, or her father will go to jail for money laundering. Johnny and Claudia want to get rid of daddy, and they’re trying to make him believe they’re at odds with each other. Everybody’s trying to double-cross everyone else.

THURSDAY

31. Milo is an idiot. Anyway, it’s an interesting question, isn’t it: Who is really running the show? When Sonny says do what I say, and Jason says do what I say, and they’re diametrically opposed, who’s the boss?

32. I see Carly is dressed in black for the occasion.

33. Carly, set serious. Do you honestly think the hospital is going to just let a patient like Michael go without getting a parent’s signature first? I don’t care how much you’re upset, let’s get serious. You’ll sign the papers along the way? I don’t think so. What happens when Carly doesn’t sign the papers, and the ambulance gets hit by a drunk driver.

34. Nadine, SHUT UP. I know you mean well, but Nikolas makes his own decisions, and telling him that she’ll get Spencer over to the hospital so the predicted rainstorm won’t bother him is absurd.

35. It’s great to see Maxie and Lulu actually working together for a change.

36. Spinelli, when Maxie’s at work, and she’s under the threat of being fired virtually all the time, the last thing she can afford to do is be perceptive enough to understand your jealousy.

37. Jerry Jacks stabs Claudia? WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO ACCOMPLISH? Why in the world is Jerry Jacks so afraid of Claudia that he would try to kill her? Is he so stupid that he thinks the Zaccharas would let him get away with such an affront to their family? And obviously, she isn’t going to be dead, so what POSSIBLE advantage can be gained from a wounded Claudia Zacchara? Jerry, if it were up to me, you would be so dead …

FRIDAY

38. It takes a lot of nerve to stab somebody, and then discard” them into the river like so much garbage because Alexis shows up. Why in the hell couldn’t have shown up a minute earlier and seen the whole thing from behind some barrel or bush or something? Better yet, I would have LOVED to see Alexis watch the whole thing, and as soon as Claudia went into the water, Alexis steps out, Calls Jerry’s name, and the second he turns around to face her, put as many bullets into him as you can. On top of it all, Alexis actually heard him throw something into the river.

39. My goodness, Spencer has grown. He’ll be screwing Molly in no time at all. He’s sop cute, too, and not a bad little actor. He’s got a great shy smile.

40. Let me get this straight. Exactly how did Anthony find out that Claudia hired Devlin? According to Anthony, the guards said that Devlin had been over to see Claudia on several occasions. SO? Come on, Johnny, I’m sure you can think of something. But really, it’s not your business to come up with “excuses” for Claudia. Just because Ian Devlin tried to hit on Claudia, or came to see how her treatment was going (allegedly), doesn’t mean she hired him to kill Sonny. “WHY ARE YOU DEFENDING HER?” says daddy. What I would have said is, “WHY ARE YOU DISPARAGING HER WITHOUT ANY PROOF?”

41. This is one of the things I hate most. Lucky, if you’ve already got plans, then say so and don’t take Jake. I hate it when people tell you they already have plans, but they’ll cancel them. If you’re willing to cancel you plans to take Jake, then don’t tell me you have any plans to begin with. Incidentally, you didn’t hear Lizzy tell Lucky it would be okay if he and Sam watched Jake. GET OVER IT, ELIZABETH.

42. Steve Burton is so terrific. His goodbye talk with Michael was wonderful.

43. Sonny and Carly kissing? Jax and Kate dancing? TIME TO CHANGE PARTNERS.
